Faces of Diversity

In 2021, Ballinran Entertainment in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Stratford received a community grant to create a series of short documentaries to share the first-hand experiences of culturally diverse people living and working in Stratford, St. Marys, and Perth County. Entitled “Faces of Diversity,” the initial series of five episodes can be viewed at .

“We have filmed the series in documentary style because we wanted to see and hear each person telling their story, unfiltered and in their own words,” says Koi Thompson, who produced the series for Ballinran Entertainment. “Sadly, discrimination and racism are on the rise, even in our own community, and we wanted to show that regardless of a person’s skin colour, language, economic status or where they come from, we all have the same hopes and dreams for the future.”

As a funder, we are proud to support this documentary series at a time when feeling a sense of belonging in our community, and connection with one another, has never been more important.

This project was supported by a grant from the Smart & Caring Community Fund.
