Smelski Family Fund
Held within the Perth East Smart & Caring Community Fund
Richard and Jean Smelski have always been involved in various organizations, but feel their support of the Stratford Perth Community Foundation is their most worthy.
They decided to establish a Family Fund of their own within the local Smart & Caring Community Fund.
“Even though we weren’t born in this area, this community is friendly and caring; it is our extended family. In addition, one only needs to travel abroad to come back home and appreciate the blessings in our own backyard. We believe that community spirit requires everyone to do their part, however big or small, adding up to make a significant impact,” says Jean.
Richard is a founding member of the SPCF and served on the board for several years. “It’s the best organization to give back to the community and in perpetuity. What more can you ask for.”
