A designated fund to help restore the Middle Maitland River. Tim MacDonald grew up in Listowel and has worked there since 1988. He’s also a keen outdoorsman, so it seemed natural for him to volunteer with the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA), which looks after the Maitland River system.

Chris and Courtney Teahen had always supported charities that helped hungry children overseas. But it wasn’t until their daughter (now a teenager) started grade one that they became aware of hungry kids right in their own backyard.

From the first Thomas Orr, who arrived from Philadelphia in 1855, to today’s great-great-great grandchildren, the family has worked tirelessly and selflessly to help make Stratford what it is today.
