2020 Grant Recipients

Emergency Community Support Fund Grants

We are proud to have partnered with Community Foundations of Canada and the Government of Canada to deliver the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) for the Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County region. 

Launched on May 19, 2020, we’ve invested an additional $201,860 through the ECSF towards local charities and qualified donees supporting populations experiencing heightened vulnerability during this crisis. We are pleased to announce the ECSF has supported projects including:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Listowel and DistrictTechnology for Virtual In School Mentoring Program
  • Camp Bimini / Bimini Connects, A Virtual Camp Bimini
  • Community Living St. Marys and Area / Moving Forward: Navigating a Safe Return to Community
  • Facile Perth, Perth County Family Network / Family/Caregiver Support Network Program
  • Goals / Breakfast Program
  • Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario / ReStore COVID-19 Health and Safety Response
  • Milverton Agricultural Society / Youth Fun Care Packages (with a focus on the Low German and Amish populations ages 3-12 years old)
  • One Care Home and Community Support Services / COVID Support Kits for Clients and Caregivers
  • Parkinson Society / Sustaining Client Support Through Ongoing Personal, Virtual, and Community Outreach Programming

COVID-19: Charitable Response Grants

COVID-19 has increased demand for programs and services provided by our front-line agencies serving high need, vulnerable people and families. The SPCF has provided immediate grants to organizations supporting people most deeply impacted by this pandemic, including those experiencing homelessness and poverty, isolated seniors and youth, and mental wellness services.
