Community Foundation distributes additional $80,881 in grants to local organizations for Round 2 of the Emergency Community Support Fund
STRATFORD, ON, December 21, 2020 – Stratford Perth Community Foundation (SPCF) announced today the Foundation released more grants to local community-based charities through a second round of grants made possible by the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF). Eleven local charities shared in the $80,881 distributed by the Community Foundation to support much needed services for people across the region experiencing heightened vulnerability during the pandemic. These grants, together with an initial round of funding in the summer, have resulted in a total of $282,741 in critical support for local organizations.
“Since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared community-based charities and non–profit organizations have been working tirelessly to provide essential support, in particular to individuals and communities experiencing heightened vulnerability,” said Heidi Culliton, Executive Director, Stratford Perth Community Foundation. “We know the need for funding is still significant within our region, and we will continue to advocate for broader recovery and stabilization support for our local charitable sector.”

- $8,500 to fund The Local Community Food Centre / Neighbour Advocacy Program
- $7,000 to fund Stratford House of Blessing / Increasing the Safety and Efficiency of Food Delivery
- $8,500 to fund Stratford/Perth Shelterlink / Supportive Learning Environment Program for Homeless Youth
- $3,500 to fund The Emily Murphy Centre / Office Space Retrofit for Safety
- $10,781 to fund Stratford General Hospital Foundation / Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance Pilot Peer Support Program
- $12,100 to fund Stratford General Hospital Foundation / Glidescope to Save Lives
- $2,460 to fund Big Brothers Big Sisters of Listowel and District / Rent, Internet, and Telephone Relief
- $540 to fund Perth East Public Library / Mobile Wifi Hotspots
- $10,000 to fund Stratford Festival / Anti-racism Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Specialist
- $5,000 to fund Children’s Health Foundation / Early Intervention for Youth Experiencing Mood and Anxiety Disorders
- $5,000 to fund Wellspring Stratford / Expressions of Life in Art Therapy Kits
