Board of Directors Application
Stratford Perth Community Foundation (SPCF) is currently seeking candidates interested to join SPCF’s Board of Directors. Board positions will commence at SPCF’s AGM (Spring 2022) for a three-year term. Members may seek a second three-year term with Board approval.
SPCF’s Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, governance, establishes policy, oversees the operations and financial performance of the Community Foundation, and assesses the Board’s own effectiveness. Participation on SPCF’s Board is voluntary and there is no remuneration for service.
SPCF welcomes individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences who are interested in helping the Community Foundation fulfill its philanthropic mission.

MISSION: To enrich the lives of people in Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County by providing support to charitable organizations through grants made possible by responsible stewardship of endowment funds.
With a skills-based policy Board that balances experience, knowledge, and professional expertise, SPCF is currently seeking candidates with the following knowledge and expertise:
- Legal / Policy Development
- Investment / Accounting / Finance
- Agriculture Sector Engagement
- Information Technology
Expected Commitment from Board Members:
- Attend five Board meetings each year, and the Annual General Meeting
- Able to commit the time and resources to serve on the Board, as well as one Committee
- Support SPCF’s fundraising and stewardship events
- Act as an ambassador for SPCF
