  • Over $1M invested in community programs and projects since 2004
  • Highlight: Charitable Impact Stories

June 11, 2018 – Stratford, ON – The Stratford Perth Community Foundation (SPCF) celebrated “all for community” yesterday afternoon with their donors, charitable partners and community leaders at the fourth Community Impact Celebration held at the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel in Stratford.

Presented by Blue Branch, the event featured SPCF Honorary Patron and fund holder Lloyd Robertson as the Master of Ceremonies. The SPCF announced their 2018 grant recipients that will receive over $260,000 to support important programs and projects throughout Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County – the most the organization has ever granted annually (details below). “With this year’s grants, we have invested over $1 Million back into our communities since 2004,” shares Bonnie Richardson, Interim Executive Director of the SPCF. “This significant milestone wouldn’t be possible without our generous donors. Because of them, our volunteers and staff, we are able to support programs and projects in our communities where it’s needed most, now and forever.”

Debra Swan, Executive Director of The Local Community Food Centre and Lisa Wilde, Executive Director of the Emily Murphy Centre shared details about the impact SPCF Grants have made in their organizations over the years.

SPCF Chair, Dennis DesRosiers presented updates on their plan to reach $12 Million in endowed assets and the ongoing development of regional Smart & Caring Community Funds in Stratford, St. Marys and the four municipalities of Perth County. These “community funds” are built by the community they represent and will benefit that community for generations to come.
